The Fall 2013 Career Fair is open to
all students who want to meet with representatives and recruiters from a
variety of employers. Whether you are interested in an internship or full-time
job we encourage you to come by. Bring copies of your resume and dress
professionally. Students who wish to maximize their visit at the Career Fair
should stop by Career Services before hand and have their resume reviewed.

2013 Frank and Sara
McKnight Prize in Undergraduate Biochemistry, 10/1/13, 11:59 p.m., Online
Senior
are invited to compete for prizes (1st: $2000; runners-up: $500) recognizing
outstanding undergraduate research achievement in biochemistry, biophysics,
computational biology, or chemistry. Interested students should submit: (1) An
abstract describing your research, (2) GRE scores (if available), (3) GPA, (4)
a letter of support from your research mentor, and (5) a mailing address no
later than October 1, 2013. Finalists will be invited to present their posters
at the UT Southwestern Biochemistry Research Retreat to be held November 1-3,
2013. Winners will be chosen based on the undergraduate achievement and the
significance of their research. UT Southwestern will provide travel and

Lunch
and Learn about Service Opportunities after Graduation, 9/27/13 (Friday),

Lunch and Learn allows you to hear about the service
opportunities available with Teach for America, City Year, Advise TX, and Peace
Corps. Representatives will discuss the importance of service, speak about

Graduate School Admissions Process, 10/2/13

program addresses the concerns of undergraduate students considering graduate
or professional school. Many common concerns are discusses and successful

UT Austin Petroleum
and Geosystems Engineering Info Table, 10/3/13 (Thursday), 2-3:30 p.m., CSI

visit with Jessica Jimenez, Recruitment Support Specialist for the UT Austin
Dept. of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering. Learn about summer research
internships available for undergraduates. Interns will participate in a 10 week
program over the summer for a salary of $4000 plus on-campus housing, a meal
plan and travel to Austin. Students applying must have a 3.25 GPA or higher and
must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. The deadline to apply is January

help you learn how to prepare for admission to graduate school, and to discuss
the professional value a specialized masters degree can give you in today’s

will interview students for a summer internship as a Claims Adjuster with their
San Antonio offices. The interviews will take place on November 6 but you must
