Fall 2013 Career Fair, 10/23/13 (Wednesday), 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Laurie Auditorium
The Fall 2013 Career Fair is open to all students who want to meet with representatives and recruiters from a variety of employers. Whether you are interested in an internship or full-time job we encourage you to come by. Bring copies of your resume and dress professionally. Students who wish to maximize their visit at the Career Fair should stop by Career Services before hand and have their resume reviewed. 2013 Frank and Sara McKnight Prize in Undergraduate Biochemistry, 10/1/13, 11:59 p.m., Online
Senior are invited to compete for prizes (1st: $2000; runners-up: $500) recognizing outstanding undergraduate research achievement in biochemistry, biophysics, computational biology, or chemistry. Interested students should submit: (1) An abstract describing your research, (2) GRE scores (if available), (3) GPA, (4) a letter of support from your research mentor, and (5) a mailing address no later than October 1, 2013. Finalists will be invited to present their posters at the UT Southwestern Biochemistry Research Retreat to be held November 1-3, 2013. Winners will be chosen based on the undergraduate achievement and the significance of their research. UT Southwestern will provide travel and accommodations for finalists. Send applications via e-mail to McKnightPrize@UTSouthwestern.edu  by October 1 with the subject line ‘Biochemistry Prize’, ‘Biophysics Prize’, or ‘Chemistry Prize.’

Lunch and Learn about Service Opportunities after Graduation, 9/27/13 (Friday), 12:30-1:30 p.m., Waxahachie
Lunch and Learn allows you to hear about the service opportunities available with Teach for America, City Year, Advise TX, and Peace Corps. Representatives will discuss the importance of service, speak about their program, and some of the benefits just to give you an idea of the types of opportunities available. Graduate School Admissions Process, 10/2/13 (Wednesday), 5:30-6:30 p.m., Woodlawn Room

UT Austin Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering Info Table, 10/3/13 (Thursday), 2-3:30 p.m., CSI Lobby
Come visit with Jessica Jimenez, Recruitment Support Specialist for the UT Austin Dept. of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering. Learn about summer research internships available for undergraduates. Interns will participate in a 10 week program over the summer for a salary of $4000 plus on-campus housing, a meal plan and travel to Austin. Students applying must have a 3.25 GPA or higher and must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. The deadline to apply is January 6, 2014. Specialized Programs in Graduate Business Information Session, 10/9/13 (Wednesday), 6-8 p.m., NH040
Specialized Programs in Graduate Business (SPGB) is a consortium of schools that host nation-wide forums for undergraduates and recent graduates from all disciplinary majors who are interested in obtaining a focused graduate business degree. This program offers prospective students the chance to speak one-on-one with school representatives to learn about various programs. The program will help you learn how to prepare for admission to graduate school, and to discuss the professional value a specialized masters degree can give you in today’s highly competitive business environment. Professional Practice Interview Days, 10/10-10/11 (Thursday - Friday), Career Services Office
Professional Practice Interview Days offer you a way to reduce your stress level before a job or professional school interview by practicing in mock interviews with recruiters. Recruiters will give you real world feedback on how to improve before you do real interviews. You can sign up for an interview through TigerJobs by selecting “Submit Resume/Sign-up for schedule.” Limited interview slots available so sign up early to get an interview time.

NSHMBA’s 24th Annual Conference and Career Expo: Ignite Undergraduate Program, 10/12/2013 (Saturday), 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center
The Ignite Program gives undergraduates the opportunity to prepare for their first professional job or internship, discover the benefits of pursuing an MBS, and provide an insider’s look to the rigors of MBA programs in the business field. USAA On Campus Interview, 10/29/13 (Tuesday), By Appointment, Career Services
USAA is coming to Trinity to interview students for an IT Internship and an IT full-time position. The interviews will be held on October 29, but you must have your resume submitted by October 14 to be considered for an interview. USAA On Campus Interview, 11/6/13 (Monday), By Appointment, Career Services
USAA will interview students for a summer internship as a Claims Adjuster with their San Antonio offices. The interviews will take place on November 6 but you must have your resume in by October 28 to be considered for an interview.
